Hanna Chardonnay (Russian River) 23

Just two weeks after bottling, our '21 Chardonnay is a jailbreak in the glass, shimmering straw-gold in color. Effusive flan, apple blossom, kiwi, elderflower, and hazelnut notes jostle for the aromatic fore, alongside a chorus of baked apples, lemon curd, nutmeg, and vanilla. By mouth, flavors of baked apple, nutmeg, magnolia blossom, pecan brittle, and lemon curd are deliciously evoked, transitioning into freshness and harmony with Meyer lemon, crisp Gravenstein apple, and freshly grated turmeric. The wine is beautifully balanced between richness, all the while conjuring Satin Doll as a jazzy textural metaphor.
