Deep burgundy in color, the Elouan Oregon Pinot Noir opens up with aromas of boysenberry, fig jam, black currant, and a hint of chicory. This wine, a result of California winemakers venturing up to Oregon, brings together fruit from three regions along Oregon's coast: Willamette, Umpqua, and Rogue Valleys. The goal was to produce Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy, and suppleness. The palate is well-balanced with notes of fresh cranberry, rhubarb, and a lingering white pepper finish. The diversity of these cool climate areas combined with an elongated growing season creates incredible depth and concentration complemented by rich tannins and a smooth, medium finish. The wine is structured and balanced with bright red raspberry and cherry, boysenberry jam filling the palate, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla, clove spice, and white pepper.
