Belle Glos Pinot Noir "Dairyman" (Russian River Vly) 21

This wine is dark plum in color with abundant aromas of dark chocolate, black cherry, and sun-ripened blackberry with a hint of cedar. Bright crimson red in color. Aromas of black cherry and ripe plums combine with subtle notes of dried herbs and smoke. Layered flavors of blackberry and raspberry pie filling, accompanied by notes of cinnamon, chocolate, and nutmeg play on the palate. The palate entry shows flavors of cranberry, fresh raspberry, and ripe cherry, complemented by hints of vanilla and baking spice. Smooth and focused with refined tannins and a medium finish. A balance of savory, cedar and cocoa powder, and sweet, fig jam and ripe blackberry, round out the mouth-feel. The overall impression is one of ripe red and black berry fruit flavors, great structure, smooth tannins and a lingering fresh finish.
